We were born in the 70s
Founded by Jean Pierre Mesmin, passionate about the dialogue between tradition and modernity at the heart of materials, Biobject aims to reveal uniqueness. Jean-Pierre Mesmin then embarks on his journey exploring little-known cultures in search of rare craftsmanship. Driven by a quest for unique materials, he gradually brings back to his French clients the soul of a culture, embodied in elegant furniture.
2008
Our design and engineering office is expanding
Benoît Marotte takes the helm of Biobject with the desire to make the pursuit of the exceptional the core business of the company. Biobject is evolving, asserting its identity as a creative and design studio, while remaining true to its roots: a deep love of materials and exclusive craftsmanship.

Showroom
Rue Mercœur
In the 11th arrondissement, on Rue Mercœur, the Biobject showroom spans 185 m² and offers an immersive experience into the world of high-end furniture and lighting. This space showcases a selection of the brand’s collections and creations, where every detail reflects exceptional craftsmanship.
A dedicated area presents a wide range of fabrics and soft materials, with numerous samples available on-site to inspire and bring all projects to life.
The material library, rich in unique and technical materials, allows for an appreciation of the quality and uniqueness of the materials far beyond what images can convey. A place where design and innovation are revealed in all their forms.
Workshop
Argenteuil
Biobject has a 1500 m2 workshop and logistics platform in Argenteuil. The production, assembly, and varnishing workshops allow Biobject to offer high-quality products with continuous quality control. The finishing and assembly services provide real flexibility for custom-made solutions.
Biobject has high-bay storage and a logistics organization suitable for both individual shipments and large-scale international operations.
With solid expertise in packaging, transport, and administrative management, Biobject ships products to over 50 countries. Biobject also has its own delivery and installation service in the Paris region.

Romain
Executive
Leader, buyer of Biobject in 2020 and founder of the Mercoeur Edition brand in 2023, Romain has worked for several years in the wood and materials sector. Romain is making Biobject a key player in furniture/lighting design. Passionate about materials and craftsmanship, he drives Biobject to remain constantly open to the world and its environment in order to offer the most unique expertise to its clients.

Our team of designers supports each of your projects and is attentive to your needs in order to offer the designs most suited to your desires. With several years of experience, they strive to anticipate all technical issues in each project. Today, they offer a unique co-design service.
